Thank you for purchasing AgriA's PAL circuit breaker panel labeling system. The PAL labels are designed to clearly mark the circuit breaker in both the main and sub panels. Before starting make a list of the circuit breakers and positions in each panel.
The label set includes the main (entrance) panel index directory with eleven (11) numbered and color coded description positions and the sub panel index with thirty (30) similar positions. Corresponding to each description position is a colored and numbered magnetic breaker label. Using a standard pair of scissors, separate each label from its strip. Use caution not to cut yourself with the scissors.
The sub panel label directory has ten (10) of the most common household electrical appliances/systems pre-printed with the last twenty (20) position blank to write in custom descriptions. The main panel directory has all description positions blank for you to customize. Twelve (12) blank description strips are included for you to make changes. Now on to how to best use the PAL labels.
The panel index directory label groups and the individual breaker labels are magnetic and can be removed and repositioned. It is desirable to apply the labels and breaker stickers to dry, dust free, and oil free surfaces. However, remember you are applying the stickers to an electrical panel!! BE CAREFUL DO NOT USE WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS TO CLEAN THE PANEL SURFACE. CALL A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR SEE ANYTHING THAT MIGHT CAUSE CONCERN.
After using a felt tipped pen to write in your customized descriptions, find a location on the panel face or interior side of the cover to place the index. The location should not cover or hide any existing panel labels, markings, indexes, or etc. Locate for each index position description the corresponding circuit breaker, and place the matching magnetic label next to its breaker. MAKE CERTAIN TO PLACE THE LABELS ON THE PANEL STEEL METAL SURFACE AND NOT THE PLASTIC BREAKER BODY.
Try to position the labels to the side of the breaker in such a manner that there can be no confusion about which circuit breaker is associated with the label. If you are identifying a two pole/position breaker place the label between the breakers and make a note on the index - this is a two pole breaker. After you are finished, ask someone to use the index and stickers to find every breaker listed on the index. Just as a check to eliminate confusion later on when you need to find the breakers quickly.
Consider the PAL system for other uses such as industrial control panels. You may contact us directly by going to www.agriacom.com
